Needing some help with Word Processing!

Hello everyone.
I consider myself a pretty independant person on technology! But I learnt everything for my own. We didn't have technology training available in my country when I lost sight so I learnt everything for my own including computers, mobile devices etc.
But ridiculously enough, I noticed I didn't learn the most basic which is a serious word processing knowledge.
Now I got a work proposition which I want to accept but it requires serious word processing and I don't know where I can find information about it in a blinds perspective.
Of course I know how to write a document, read it etc.
What I really don't know is a accurate formatting, understand the formatting of the document etc.
I am using braille displays.
So what guys do you think is the best solution? I have Microsoft Word 2010 on my Windows 8 computer which I use with NVDA and Jaws 14 and I might buy Pages for my Iphone 5 and use it with my braille displays.
What I need is to write letters, projects, documents, press releases etc and make sure that it looks professional. Is it possible to do it being blind and if so could you give me some online sources where I could find the information for my on and learn?
Many many thanks for any possible help!

look on a place called top tid bits there is a lady who writes books using microsoft 2010 with a screen reader. Jaws does work well with 2010, you might turn on the vertual ribbins to see if that helps you with the ribbin bar in 2010.

If you have time, the Hadley School for the Blind might have some resources that you could use.

You'll have to google them since I don't have a link for their school.

You can learn quite a bit about how to determine formatting fby reading the JAWS help topics, particularly the ones which deal with microsoft word. I can't speak for 2010, but I use 2003 and there are a ton of useful commands which help with document presentation. I am a very avid user of Word 2003, and I've learned quite a bit. I do have some vision, but there's a lot you can do even without it.

I will say one other thing. Be very careful when exchanging a document b between Pages on your Iphone, and Office Word on your PC. The two programs work quite nicely independantly, and you will get documents to cooperate between the two programs, but when going from pages to word, you will lose a lot of your formatting, especially if you start using headings and the like.
